What We Do
The Mental Health Liaison Group (MHLG) is a coalition of national organizations representing consumers, family members, mental health and addiction providers, advocates, payers and other stakeholders committed to strengthening Americans’ access to mental health and addiction care. As trusted leaders in the field, our 60+ member organizations are dedicated to elevating the national conversation around mental health and addiction. Together, we work to advance federal policies that support prevention, early intervention, treatment and recovery services and supports.

In January, the Mental Health Liaison Group and the Coalition to Stop Opioid Overdose hosted Congressman David Trone from Maryland’s 6th congressional district at a roundtable discussion to discuss a collective 2020 legislative agenda for mental health and addiction policy. The MHLG and CSOO thank Congressman Trone and his dedicated staff for their time and hard work on behalf of millions living with mental illness and substance use disorder.

December 9, 2019: MHLG recognized three Congressional staff for their long-standing support for mental health.
